COLFAX, Wash., -- The Whitman County Sheriff's office has launched a web-based program designed to enhance monitoring capacity of registered sex offenders in Whitman County and throughout the rest of the state.

"Offender Watch" will assist law enforcement in tracking all registered sex offender and kidnapping offenders to make sure registration requirements are met, community notifications are sent and the public has access to information regarding registered sex offenders who may reside in their communities.

Developed by Watch Systems LLC in Louisiana, the Offender Watch Software is currently being used by more than 400 agencies in 31 states.
