POST FALLS -- Post Falls police arrested a married couple that attempted to rob a pharmacy just hours before in Coeur d'Alene.

Patrick Augerlavoie, 32, and his 29-year-old wife Carrie Augerlavoie, were arrested after they left Medicine Man Pharmacy at 1114 W. Ironwood Drive.

Patrick Augerlavoie, 32, and Carrie Augerlavoie, 29, are charged with robbery.

The pharmacist there noticed that the two matched the description of two people who tried to rob a Safeway pharmacy on North 4th Street in Coeur d'Alene.

In that instance, authorities said Carrie walked into the pharmacy and passed a note demanding oxycontin. Safeway does not stock oxycontin in its pharmacy, and has posted signs saying so.

She ran after her request was denied. The pharmacist yelled over the intercom, "stop that woman in the black sweatshirt!" and an employee and customer grabbed her.

She freed herself after a struggle but left behind the sweatshirt, glasses and blue house slippers. She escaped with her husband who was waiting in a green dodge van.

Later, the pharmacist recognized the two and followed them in his personal car.

The pharmacist told police Patrick asked repeated questions about oxycontin. When the pharmacist questioned him the couple drove off.

Patrick has been charged with two counts of robbery for Wednesday's incident and another robbery attempt at the same Safeway last month. His wife was charged with just one count of robbery.
