SPOKANE -- A woman has been taken to a local hospital for what police are calling an accidental shooting.

The owner of this Jeep Cherokee inadvertently shot herself in the leg Tuesday morning.

Authorities say the shooting occurred at 3131 E. Sprague near the intersection of Sprague and Freya.

The woman appears to have inadvertently shot herself in the leg. The injury is non-life threatening.

The gun discharged, hit her in the leg and broke her femur.

Police are still investigating the matter.
