Robbery in Spokane Valley
A man who threatened a pair of pharmacy employees with a pistol Sunday night escaped with a quantity of oxycontin, possibly in a white sport utility vehicle.
Two females working in the Walgreen’s pharmacy at 15510 E. Sprague told officers that the suspect approached them about 7:30 p.m. and ordered one to her knees while demanding the powerful pain medication from the other.
The suspect placed the drugs into a plastic Walgreen’s bag and ran from the store.
Two witnesses just arriving at the business saw the suspect run from the front doors to a white SUV parked behind a nearby snow berm. The position of the vehicle led the witnesses to believe that it was parked where it was to hide it from the view of Walgreen’s employees.
No one was injured in the heist. The victim’s described the suspect as a white male about 5’10” tall and 160 pounds. He appeared to be in his mid 20’s and had short brown hair and a mustache.
The robber was wearing a white hooded sweatshirt or jacket that had a black pattern on the hood which he wore over his head. The suspect wore a black scarf over his lower face, and had on black fuzzy gloves and dark jeans.
The witnesses who saw the man running gave similar descriptions.
Anyone with information regarding this armed robbery is encouraged to call the Spokane Valley Police at 242-TIPS or Crime Check at 456-2233.
