The couple accused of abusing their 4-year-old daughter to death appeared in court Monday.
The four-year-old toddler was brought to Deaconess Medical Center just before midnight Sunday with traumatic injuries.
Detectives say there's evidence the little girl was beaten with a belt, broom and ladle and was even forced to wear a shock collar.
Court records show there was also evidence of burn marks and bite marks on the girl's body.
Police say she was found unresponsive in a bathtub in the couple's downtown apartment. Prosecutors say she was forced to wash clothes and pick-up garbage.
