Heavy snow slamming Inland Northwest.

SPOKANE, Wash. - A winter storm warning is in effect for most of the Inland Northwest with up to eight inches of snow expected to fall around the region by late Monday morning.

Spokane-Coeur d'Alene area, Idaho/Washington Palouse, Northeast Mountains of Washington, Okanogan Highlands, Okanogan Valley, and the Upper Columbia Basin

Winter storm warning is in effect until 10 a.m. Monday.

Four to eight inches of snow could fall in these areas, with up to 11 inches of snow in some of the areas.

30 mph wind gusts will cause drifting snow, especially on the Palouse.

This warning includes Post Falls, Hayden, Moscow, Plummer, Potlatch, Genesee, Pullman, Colfax, Rosalia, La Crosse, Cheney, Davenport, Rockford, Colville, Deer Park, Chewelah, Newport, Kettle Falls, Ritzville, Grand Coulee, Odessa, Wilbur, Republic, Inchelium, Omak, Okanogan, Brewster, Bridgeport, Oroville, and Nespelem.

Moses Lake area

Winter storm warning is in effect until 7 a.m. Monday.

Four to seven inches of snow could fall in this area, with snow turning to freezing rain or sleet in towns south of I-90 Monday morning.

This warning includes Ephrata, Othello and Quincy.

Northern Panhandle of Idaho, Central Panhandle Mountains of Idaho

Winter storm warning is in effect until 4 p.m. Monday.

Five to ten inches of snow could fall in these areas, with 10 to 16 inches of snow expected in the mountains.

West winds gusting up to 50 mph on mountain ridges will cause drifting snow.

This warning includes Sandpoint, Rathdrum, Bonners Ferry, Priest River, Kellogg, St. Maries, Pinehurst, Osburn, Wallace, and Mullan.

Lewis and Southern Nez Perce Counties

Winter storm warning is in effect until 4 p.m. Monday.

Four to six inches of snow could fall across the Camas Prairie overnight.

40 mph wind gusts will cause drifting snow.

This warning includes Kamiah, Craigmont, and Winchester.

Lewiston area, Lower Garfield and Asotin Counties

A winter weather advisory is in effect until 10 a.m. Monday.

Two to four inches of snow could fall in these areas, with up to five inches in the Pomeroy area.

This advisory includes Lapwai, Culdesac, and Clarkston.
