Spokane man killed in Stevens County crash

STEVENS CO., Wash. – A Spokane man was killed in a one-car crash in Stevens County on Sunday evening.

Marcus Samuels McDaniels, 30, Jared Flett, 29, and Billie Jones, 28, were traveling southbound on State Route 291 approaching mile post 24. The driver failed to negotiate a curve and the car traveled off the roadway on the northbound side, striking a rock wall.

Samuels McDaniels was killed in the crash. He was not wearing a seatbelt. Flett and Jones were uninjured.

The cause of the crash is under investigation. Officials said charges are pending. It is unknown if drugs or alcohol were involved in the crash.
