Steam Plant turns pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Breast cancer awareness month begins

SPOKANE, Wash. – October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which is an annual effort to raise awareness of the disease that affects one in eight women.

The Steam Plant in downtown Spokane is honoring those battling breast cancer, as well as survivors by lighting the smoke stacks bright pink.

You can sign up for Race for the Cure. Registration opens Monday and the race will be held on April 23, 2017.
