WSP: Four juveniles hurt in I-90 crash when driver falls asleep

SPOKANE, Wash. — Washington State Patrol officials said four juveniles were transported to the hospital early Sunday morning after the driver fell asleep and overcorrected. 

The WSP report said the driver was traveling on I-90 East in a red Mercury Sable, 15 miles West of Spokane.  The driver fell asleep, the vehicle rolled and came to rest on its top.  One unrestrained passenger was ejected and a second unrestrained passenger remained in the vehicle, sustaining serious injuries.

Three of the juveniles were transported by ambulance to Sacred Heart Medical Center and one was lifeflighted.
