SPOKANE. Wash. – An Idaho woman and Washington man were arrested at the Econo Lodge near South Rustle Road and West Sunset Boulevard in Spokane early Wednesday morning.
Bonding agents arrested the suspects. Spokane Police Department officials were also called to the scene around 2:00 a.m. Both of the suspects had warrants out for their arrests.
Officials said bonding agents had a contract out for the woman's arrest out of Idaho. The paperwork went through on Tuesday night around 9:00 p.m. Officers attempted to get the female to come out of the hotel room but got no response. Police said the bail bonds agents did not have a date of birth for the female and officers were unable to verify there was even anyone in the hotel room at the time.
At about 4:45am, officers were called back to the scene. The agents had forced entry into the hotel room, breaking a window and inserting a chemical agent into the hotel room in an attempt to force the female out, according to authorities. Once inside, they took the female into custody and found a male inside who had a felony DOC warrant. They also found stolen property while in the room and there was a stolen vehicle associated with the two suspects at the hotel.
Officers said they towed the stolen vehicle and will be executing a search warrant on it as part of their investigation. Detectives also recovered two guns from the hotel room. Justin R. Jordan, 34, was taken into custody on his felony warrant.
He was treated at an area hospital for injuries sustained prior to SPD’s arrival before he was booked into Spokane County Jail. The bail bonds agents retained custody of the female. Detectives are working with authorities in Coeur d’Alene on the investigation as some of the stolen property is believed to have come from crimes committed in that area.
