MEAD, Wash. – The Washington State Patrol is investigating a two-car collision that happened on Tuesday on North Newport Highway in Mead.
According to troopers, the collision happened on North Newport Highway – or Highway 2 – shortly after 7:00 a.m. It involved two cars, and one of the drivers needed to be extricated.
Multiple people were injured, troopers said, including at least one child and a woman who was pregnant.
Officials said the pregnant woman was taken to the hospital to make sure the baby was okay following the crash.
The cause of the collision is under investigation. No word on what charges, if any, could be made.
