Strong storm causes power outages across Inland Northwest

SPOKANE, Wash. A wind advisory is into effect for much of the Inland Northwest on Friday.

Friday will bring wind gusts more in the 40-50 mph range. The strongest winds will peak once in the morning before dawn, and again later in the afternoon and evening hours. As of Friday morning it has already caused some power outages.

Here are the latest numbers from local power companies as of 10:00 a.m.:

Avista: 84
Inland Power: 259
Kootenai Electric: 17
Northern Lights: 105
