Spokane woman reportedly bites police officer

SPOKANE, Wash. – A Spokane woman was arrested after she reportedly bit a police officer on Tuesday.

According to court documents, police were arresting a man with a felony DOC warrant when 23-year-old Sabrina Burya bit an officer on the left, upper forearm.

Officers said the bite broke the skin, causing pain and visible injury.

Burya made her first appearance in court on Thursday. She faces assault charges. 

Burya's bail has been set at $5,000.
