Spokane Valley victim expressed fear of ex-boyfriend before murder

SPOKANE, Wash. – The woman who was killed in Spokane Valley on Tuesday told an acquaintance that her ex-boyfriend had threatened her life and that she was scared of him, according to court documents.  

Police arrested David Campbell Tuesday afternoon after a search following the stabbing, without incident, and charged him with second degree murder of victim Jamie Bradshaw, 37.

Court documents said Campbell was arrested less than six hours after the murder. Investigators said based on witness statements, they believed he had changed his clothes. Court documents said investigators also saw blood on his shoes. 

Campbell had also been living in his car and at the Union Gospel Mission at the time of the incident. 

Investigators issued search warrants for items in Campbell’s car and any DNA evidence. 

A judge set Campbell's bond at $1 million on Wednesday.
