SPOKANE, Wash. – Spokane is on track to break two weather records in the coming days.
According to the National Weather Service in Spokane, there have been 34 90 degree days so far in 2017. The record for most 90 degree days in a season was set back in 1958 with 39 days. Forecasters expect highs to be in the 90s through Friday.
Not only has it been hot, Spokane also has not seen much rain. The National Weather Service said Spokane has seen 66 days in a row with less than .01 inches of rain. The record for that was set on September 5, 1917 with 73 days. Forecasters said Spokane will tie the record on September 9 and break it on September 10.
