SPD searches for suspect in July shooting

SPOKANE, Wash. – Spokane Police are searching for a man who they believe was involved in a shooting back on July 30.

Officials have issued a warrant for Darren Bercier for assault and theft of a motor vehicle.

Just after 5:00am on July 30, 2016, Spokane Police responded to a report of a shooting on West Sharp near North Belt. Police arrived on scene to find two men had been shot. One victim sustained life threatening injuries.  Both victims survived.

Detectives have developed probable cause to charge Bercier. Police do not believe this crime was random and there is no danger to the public. They are asking anyone with information regarding Bercier to call Crime Check at 509-456-2233.

If you know his immediate whereabouts please call 911. Police said Bercier is considered armed and dangerous.
