Sleeping homeless man rolls into the Spokane River

SPOKANE, Wash. -- A sleeping homeless man rolled into the Spokane River near Mission street bridge Saturday afternoon.

The man was sleeping under the bridge when he rolled into the river.

He was able to grab a branch and prevent himself from flowing down the river. A person in a nearby apartment complex witnessed the incident and called the fire dispatch.

Two firefighters arrived at the scene and were able to pull him out of the water.

He is now being treated for hypothermia.
