SCSO: Missing Newman Lake woman and infant son found safe

UPDATE: Spokane County Sheriff's Office said the missing Newman Lake woman and her infant son have been found safe

Deputies said they are investigating the incident.

NEWMAN LAKE, Wash. – The Spokane County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a missing Newman Lake woman and her infant son. 

Heidi M. Wallin, 34, and her son were last seen near East Ante Road and North Idaho Road around 11:00 p.m. Wednesday night. 

Wallin walked away from a home with her son after an argument with her boyfriend. SCSO said she is reported to be intoxicated and under the influence of prescription pain medication. Wallin left her cell phone at the residence and neither she, nor her son, are dressed appropriately for the weather. 

Wallin is described as a white female, 5’06”, 110 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a dark hooded shirt with a decal on the front and red sweatpants. Wallin’s son was wearing a blue pajama onesie. 

SCSO deputies have been searching around Newman Lake, local hospitals and taxi companies for Wallin and her son. SCSO alerted area law enforcement and are working with Wallin’s boyfriend and family to contact friends. 

Air 1 has been called out to assist in the search. 

Anyone with information about Wallin and her son is asked to call 911 or Crime Check at 509-456-2233.
