SCSO detectives arrest suspect for multiple charges of possessing child pornography

SPOKANE, Wash. — Spokane County Sheriff’s Office sexual assault unit detectives arrested a man for possession of child pornography.

SCSO officials said Joseph W. Glenn, 51, was arrested after detectives received information from the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and began investigating images uploaded to a cloud-based storage server believed to be child pornography.

According to the report, a search warrant was obtained to view explicit photos depicting nude girls estimated to be between five and 13-years-old.

A second search warrant was obtained for the information associated with the suspected account.  As a result, more than 500 images of young girls were located along with additional information regarding the suspect.

According to the SCSO release, the images ranged from unidentified males having intercourse with the victims to victims who were nude or in various stages of undress.

Detectives said this information allowed probable cause for the arrest of Glenn and obtained a search warrant for Glenn’s residence Thursday in the 16300 block of N. Hatch Road.

Glenn was arrested and booked into Spokane County Jail for eleven counts of possession of depictions of a minor engaged in sexually explicit conduct 1st degree and one count of possession of depictions of a minor engaged in sexually explicit conduct 2nd degree.

SCSO said the case is an ongoing investigation as evidence and electronic devices are examined.

Authorities said additional charges are possible.
