SPOKANE, Wash. -- One person was seriously injured in a shooting in the West Central neighborhood Tuesday morning.
Spokane Police said it happened on West Sharp and North Chestnut Street around 8:30 a.m. One man was taken to the hospital for a gunshot wound.
Police said no suspect are in custody and there is no threat to the public.
Authorities said they responded to this same area back in July for another report of a shooting.
Officials said an officer trying to respond to the shooting was involved in a crash near Riverside and Post. No one was injured in the crash.
