SPOKANE, Wash. -- Spokane Fire officials said a man jumped from the Monroe Street Bridge Thursday morning.
Authorities originally said the man had fell 200 feet from a construction site at Spokane Falls Boulevard. They said there was conflicting information initially but after further investigation crews determined the man jumped from the bridge.
The man, who has yet to be identified, is in serious condition with non-life threatening injuries according to SFD. He is expected to survive.
Initially the call came out as a water rescue but it was not. Police are on the scene investigating what the man was doing and how he fell, officials said.
