Spokane's Indaba Coffee chosen to celebrate "Gilmore Girls"

SPOKANE, Wash. – “Oy with the poodles already!”

You would only recognize that quote if you were a true fan, and if you were you would know why Wednesday is a big day for the fans of the popular TV show “Gilmore Girls”.

If you do not know, Wednesday marks the 16th anniversary of the first episode of the show, and to celebrate, Indaba Coffee on Broadway transformed their shop into “Luke’s Diner” for the day.

The show is set to return to television through streaming app Netflix on November 25. Wednesday, Indaba is part of 250 coffee shops across the country celebrating the return of the show by turning into Luke’s Diner from the show.

Other cities participating include Seattle, Portland, Bakersfield, California, and Miami Beach, Florida.

As part of the celebration there are deals on coffee for Wednesday only. From 7:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. you can come to Indaba Coffee – or Luke’s Diner – and get a free cup of drip coffee.
