SPOKANE, Wash. --- Deputies in Spokane Valley are searching for a man who wandered away from his son while traveling through the area.

Sam M. Anderson and his son went to sleep in their vehicle Wednesday night in the 6300 block of East Broadway, near Interstate 90, in the Spokane Valley, according to officials.

Early this morning at about 2:00 a.m. when the son woke up, Anderson was gone.

Officials said they believe Anderson has little or no money with him, does not know the area or have a cell phone.

He also does not have his prescription medication that he needs to control seizures.

In a release, Spokane Valley deputies said Anderson has identification, and his dementia is in early stages. They said he should be able to identify himself and carry on a conversation, but may not know how to contact his son or return to their car.

Anderson is a black male, 6’ 02” and 210 lbs. He has brown eyes, brown and gray hair, and a gray beard. He was last seen wearing a light blue, short sleeve polo shirt and jeans.

Anyone who sees Anderson or knows where he is asked to contact Crime Check at 509-456-2233 and reference #10058885.
