SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. – Spokane County Sheriff's Deputies helped Post Falls Police catch a couple of theft ring suspects Thursday night.
Post Falls police ran the license plates on a suspicious van, found it was stolen and they tried to stop the driver.
But the driver took off, driving all the way into Washington.
Officials said the drivers even threw items out of the van during the pursuit including gas cans and a weed-wacker. Deputies said the driver lost control after exiting off I-90 at Pines in the Spokane Valley.
Both a man and a woman in the van ran off. The couple was later identified as Amber M. Vazquez, 28, and Adolfo D. Vazquez, 32.
A K-9 was able to catch the man. A deputy caught the woman. Both were arrested on multiple felony charges.
The Vazquez's were booked into the Spokane County Jail.
Amber faces charges of attempting to elude, theft of a motor vehicle, obstructing and driving while suspended. Adolfo was charged with theft of a motor vehicle, assault 2nd degree (2 counts), reckless endangerment, obstructing and resisting arrest.
