LEWISTON, Idaho --- A man was rescued from a cliff after becoming stuck there around 10:30 Wednesday morning.
The Lewiston Fire Department was called to the 900 block of Seventh Avenue North for a male trapped on the face of a cliff, said LFD.
The man had reportedly climbed up the cliff and then became trapped on a loose gravel portion of the hillside, said LFD.
Crews attempted to reach the man using the bucket of a ladder truck, but were unsuccessful. Crews then worked from above the man’s location and they were able to throw a secured lifeline to him. Crew were prepared to scale the cliff side when the man utilized the lifeline to stand up and make his way to solid ground.
The LFD responded with a ladder truck, an ambulance, a rescue vehicle and two chief officers. No civilian or rescuer injuries were reported.
