Live power line comes down in Lewiston structure fire

LEWISTON, Idaho — Lewiston Fire Department crews responded to a trailer fire fully engulfed in flames Tuesday morning.

According to the press release, a live power line came down and limited access to the rear side of the structure.  Avista was notified and they cut the power so crews could gain access.

The department responded with three engines and a total of 16 personnel on scene.

Officials said it was determined people were out of the structure and there were no reported injuries.  The structure and its contents were a complete loss.

The Red Cross was requested to assist with providing services to the occupants.

Reports show the fire appeared to start outside on the porch of the trailer and then extended inside.  The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
