Law enforcement informs Sprague residents of relocated sex offender

SPRAGUE, Wash.—The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office warned residents of Sprague, Washington of a sex offender moving unto their area.

Officials said James Ray Stocker III was convicted of second degree kidnapping of a 1-year-old boy in 2015.

Stocker moved back to Sprague after living in Spokane, according to law enforcement.

Reports said law enforcement can release notifications to inform the public of sex offenders moving into their area. Reports said the notification is to inform the public, not to scare them.

Authorities said Stocker completed his sentence, but is still scored as a level three sex offender.

The Lincoln County Sheriff's Office put more information on their Facebook page.
