Public asked to help police in Post Falls murder investigation

POST FALLS, Idaho – Detectives are asking for the public’s help in the murder of a Post Falls Man.

William “Bo” Kirk was found dead in the Hayden Creek area of the Coeur d’Alene National Forest on Tuesday. He had been reported missing by his wife on Saturday after he did not return home from work.

Detectives are asking for anyone that may have seen anything suspicious on Saturday between 5:00 p.m. to midnight around the area of Polson Avenue and Syringa Drive in Post Falls, Hayden Avenue and US Highway 95 in Hayden, Chilco Road south of Athol, Rimrock road, north of Hayden Lake or the Hayden Creek area to notify them.

If any business or resident in those areas has any recordings of the night in question officials ask that you review them for any signs of Kirk’s gray 2015 GMC crew-cab pickup, bearing Idaho license plates K579913. The truck also had a chrome toolbox in the bed.

Detectives are also asking that people re-review the surveillance videos that were released, showing a masked individual driving Kirk’s vehicle.

The Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office has set up a dedicated tip line for this investigation, (208) 664-1515, which is available 24 hours a day. Tips can also be sent via email to kcso@kcgov.us.
