KOOTENAI COUNTY, Idaho --- The Kootenai County Sheriff's Office is investigating after a body was found in the Coeur d'Alene National Forest just past 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
The body, which has not been identified, was found by two Coeur d’Alene men traversing the area.
Forest Service Road 437, commonly known as Hayden Creek Road is closed between E. Hayden Lake Road and Forest Service Road 206, and will remain closed for an undetermined amount of time.
The Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office did not identify the body, and did not explain the cause of death.
It is unknown if the body is that of missing Post Falls man, William "Bo" Kirk. Kirk disappeared on Oct. 22 when he did not return home from work. His truck was later found, fully engulfed in flames, near Rimrock Road on the north end of Kootenai County.
Post Falls PD released a video of a person driving that truck and using Kirk's ATM card, and asked for help identifying the driver.
