AIRWAY HEIGHTS, Wash. – The Kalispel Tribe began construction on a new $20 million expansion of Northern Quest Resort and Casino Tuesday.
“It’s an exciting day for the Kalispel Tribe of Indians and for our guests and team members,” Tribal Chairman Glen Nenema said. “Our vision has long included a focus on healthy and safe communities. Part of that mission includes providing quality family-friendly entertainment through our businesses. Today we’re one step closer to seeing that dream come true.”
Project officials said the initial part of construction will bring up to 100 new jobs to the community. The new expansion also includes a multi-family apartment community to the West Plains. Crews are expected to break ground on the216-unit complex in Fall 2017. Apartment leasing is scheduled to begin late 2018.
The 40,000 square-foot resort expansion intends to bring these new businesses to Airway Heights. They are scheduled to open in 2018.
