2 adults, 4 children injured in Quincy crash

QUINCY, Wash. – Six people, including four children, were injured in a two-vehicle collision near Quincy Thursday evening.

Gabriela Haro, 27, was driving east on Road 8 Northwest when she collided with a truck driven by 31-year-old Brandon Hooper.

Haro was driving four children between the ages of 3-10 at the time. Two boys, ages 5 and 10, and two girls, ages 3 and 7, were transported to Quincy Valley Medical Center. The 7-year-old was then flown to Spokane via LifeFlight. Haro was seriously injured and taken to the hospital.

Hooper declined treatment for his minor injuries.

Firefighters from the Grant County Fire District 3 used the “jaws of life” to rescue some of the passengers from Haro’s car.

Authorities are investigating the crash, but deputies believer driver inattention on Haro’s part was the cause of the collision.
