Man charged for sheltering Orofino teen who went missing after prom

A 26-year-old man faces charges after being accused of providing shelter to a runaway child.

Tyson Imel, of Orofino, faces misdemeanor charges after Kristian Perez went missing or ran away after his prom Friday night.

Perez was found in good health at Imel’s home, according to police, and was taken into custody without incident on a runaway charge.

Imel was taken into custody on Wednesday night without incident. He was processed at Clearwater County Jail, according to police.

Imel posted a $1000 bond and was released a short time after being booked, according to a release from police.
