Bonner Co. Sheriff's Office increase reward, search for leads in shooting death of elderly woman

BONNER COUNTY, Idaho – The Bonner County Sheriff’s Office has increased the reward and is still looking for leads in the shooting death of Shirley Ramey, 78, who was found dead in her Hope, Idaho home earlier this year.

Back in July, Ramey’s husband announced a $5,000 dollar reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person who killed her.  Investigators said that Ramey was found by her husband on April 5.

Bonner County Sheriff’s Office posted on Facebook stating that the reward has increased by $2,000.

Ramey worked for the city of Hope as a clerk for decades and volunteered locally.  Hope City Council pledged $500 of the $2,000 increase.

Also included in the reward increase were two friends of the community, according to Bonner County Sheriff's Office officials.  Dave Reynolds pledged $1,000 and Bruce Stutzke pledged $500.

She had two grown children and, according to her obituary, was married to her husband for 57 years.

Authorities ask for people with any tips regarding this case to call the Bonner County Sheriff’s Office at 208-255-2677.
