SPOKANE, Wash. -- It's not your typical career fair. Suits and high heels are not required at this event.

This year's Non-Traditional Trades Career Fair will provide the opportunity for attendees to check out, and even try a variety of gear and tools. From painting, to crane simulation, to welding, event organizers said they have it all. It's a great way to get a hands on experience in some high demand jobs.

"This is different than your normal career fair because we're targeting especially minorities and women to fill our equal employment opportunity for the trades," said instructor Bryan Adams.

While women and minorities are the ideal audience for this event, everyone is welcome. The event runs from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. at 2110 N. Fancher.
