BONNER COUNTY, Idaho -- Idaho State Police said a driver was killed when a train slammed into a car near Sandpoint Tuesday afternoon.

Authorities said Kaitlin Brosh, 25, failed to yield to a northbound train on Heath Lake Rd, east of US 95.  Brosh was partially ejected from her car after the collision on the tracks, they said.  She was reportedly not wearing a seatbelt.

Officials said Brosh died at the scene.

The crash was placed under investigation.
