SPOKANE—Shannon Sullivan catapulted into the political world in 2005 when she spearheaded the recall petition against former Spokane Mayor Jim West.  This time, she is attempting to recall prosecutor Steve Tucker.

Sullivan stayed out of the spotlight after the recall petition for Jim West until Friday.  Sharron filed her complaint against Steve Tucker with cameras ready.

Sullivan says she is working to recall Spokane County’s top prosecutor because he’s not doing his job.

Sullivan says she has been taking classes at a local community college and is working towards a law degree.  She says she is a painter and owned and managed a florist shop before being fired.  Sullivan says she was only fired because of the West recall.

Sullivan has had her own run-in with the law.  In 2003, Sullivan shot the tires of someone she says made accusations against her son.  She says she turned herself in to authorities and paid restitution.

Sullivan says this recall is for the citizens and not for her own fame.  She says she has put law school on hold until after the recall process is over.  Right now, Sullivan says she is working for her father in Spokane but did not want to release any details on her position.
