MEAD, Wash. -- The Washington State Patrol identified a woman hit and killed by an oncoming car in Mead.
It happened Tuesday night on Highway 2.
Dorothy Ryan, 47, was taken by ambulance to Sacred Heart Medical Center. She died at the hospital.
Investigators said Ryan was walking in the right northbound lane of the highway near the Big R store in dark clothing. The woman was reportedly intoxicated.
The driver will not face any charges.
