SPOKANE -- A winter weather advisory is in effect for the East Slopes of the Cascades, Waterville Plateau, Wenatchee Valley and Okanogan County until 10:00 a.m. today.

A winter weather advisory is also in effect on the Idaho Palouse, Lewiston Area, Lewis and Southern Nez Perce Counties, Lower Garfield and Asotin Counties and the Washington Palouse until 4:00 p.m. today.

Snow accumulations of 2 to 5 inches are possible in those areas, with 5 to 7 inches possible in the mountains.

A winter weather advisory for snow means that periods of snow will cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow covered roads and limited visibilities and use caution while driving.
