SPOKANE, Wash-- The man accused of shooting a woman during an alleged drug deal pleaded not guilty Tuesday to charges for First Degree Assault and Robbery.
Police said 19-year-old Jahvory Kinard shot a woman January 3rd in a Wendy’s parking lot. An unknown person allegedly dropped the victim off at Sacred Heart Medical Center with gunshot wounds to the chest.
The victim said the altercation was a drug deal gone bad according to police.
Kinard maintained that he was innocent, saying police targeted him because his brother, Kenan Adams-Kinard, was charged in the fatal beating of a World War II veteran in 2013.
