PULLMAN, Wash. (AP) -- The Whitman County sheriff's office says a 23-year-old Pullman, Wash., man fell 50 feet to his death from the Granite Point cliffs along the Snake River in southeastern Washington.

Other media outlets report that the man killed early Friday was identified as Andrew Duke.

Sheriff's deputies were told about 2 a.m. that the man fell accidentally when he walked away from a group. He was found at the bottom of a cliff.

Granite Point is a popular recreation area about 20 miles southwest of Pullman.
