WARDEN, Wash. -- A shooting late Wednesday sent one person to the hospital in Warden.
It happened around 9 p.m. on the 100 block of South Main Street, near Euro Restaurant and Lounge. A bartender there heard two gunshots outside the bar and called police.
Arriving officers found Alfredo Mendoza, 31, standing outside the bar with a cut to his lip. Officers believe Mendoza had been involved in a physical altercation. Mendoza declined treatment from medics and was uncooperative with the police investigation.
About an hour later, Junior Ramos, 35, of Moses Lake, arrived at Samaritan Hospital with a non-life threatening gunshot wound to the upper arm.
Police believe the two incidents are related. It is not clear if the incident is gang-related; however, both men have been affiliated with the same criminal street gang, the East Side Familia.
The investigation continues. Anyone with information is asked to call the Warden Police Department, 509-762-1160.
