RITZVILLE, Wash. -- A car collided with a Washington State Patrol car along State Route 395 Saturday, injuring a trooper who had been injured previously in a crash in 2011.
Investigators said a car traveling northbound on the highway around 9:30 a.m. spun out and crashed into the patrol car which was parked along the right shoulder. The trooper was investigating another collision at the time.
WSP said the 24-year-old male driver of the car that caused the wreck was driving too fast for conditions. He was cited with an infraction.
Tooper Dean Burt, 56, was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
