SPOKANE, Wash.—A Vigil for Gaza blocked the entrance of the Thomas S. Foley Federal Courthouse on Thursday in Downtown Spokane. The peaceful protest forced guards to route court visitors through a side door.
At least ten protesters sat on the ground outside of the building calling for an end to U.S. Military support for Israel. The local protesters read the names of those killed in recent Gaza attacks as they blocked the entrance.
The group was focused on ending U.S. funding for Israeli Defense Forces. It was all part of National Day of Action on Gaza.
The Spokane protest began around noon on Thursday. Protestors said in a release that they were outraged that their tax dollars support the massacre of hundreds of Palestinian civilians.
