BOISE, Idaho (AP) -- The University of Idaho says records scheduled for release week will detail the employment history of a professor who resigned three days before police say he gunned down a graduate student he had dated and then committed suicide.

The university was aiming to release the personnel records of Ernesto Bustamante by Friday, but said the date was postponed as officials wade through documents including some 70,000 emails.

The records stem from Bustamante's 2007 job application through August 2011, when police say he shot 22-year-old Katy Benoit nearly a dozen times outside her Moscow home and then turned a gun on himself.

A judge ordered Bustamante's records released Oct. 3 after the university and several media outlets petitioned the court to rule they were a matter of public record.
