MOSCOW, Idaho-- A University of Idaho student was taken to a local hosptial after he fell off the roof of his fraternity’s house.

Moscow Police Lt. Dave Lehmitz says 21-year-old Kurt Wrobel of California suffered facial fractures and other injuries when he landed on concrete at about 12:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Wrobel was reportedly locked of out his room at the Alpha Tau Omega house and decided to try entering through a window from the roof.

Lehmitz says Wrobel had been drinking earlier in the evening at a party at another fraternity house.

He was taken to Sacred Heart, where he was listed in serious, but stable condition.

Last month, a judge dismissed a civil lawsuit filed against the university by a former student who fell from a frat house window during a party three years ago and suffered debilitating injuries.

The U of I Alpha Tau Omega chapter contains only 12 members. The national organization kicked out 22 other members last month for underage drinking.
