COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho-- A two alarm fire damaged a house on Thursday morning along Sunrise Drive. Flames destroyed an attached garage. The fire also damaged the attic and a portion of the home.
Firefighters arrived on scene around 7:00 a.m. A second fire alarm was called minutes later and more firefighters arrived at the house.
Investigators said a girl inside the home woke up and spotted the fire. She alerted her entire family. The family and their pets safely escaped according to firefighters.
Investigators searched the house. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
