SPOKANE VALLEY-- Two Spokane Valley burglars have been arrested.
Deputies responded to a residential burglary on Monday in the 3500 block of South McDonald Road. The homeowner’s daughter returned home in the afternoon and found the back door partially opened. Some of the bedroom doors were also open, and one of them had been ransacked.
The homeowner reportedly saw Nathaniel Hubbard, 20, running from his yard and said he was acting like he had a gun. The homeowner later realized his gun had been stolen along with several pieces of his coin collection and some jewelry.
The victims saw a silver truck speed away from the scene and believed Hubbard escaped with the driver, 25-year-old Robert Best.
Deputies stopped the vehicle and took both of them into custody. They also discovered a handgun under the passenger seat. The homeowner was able to identify the gun as his. The coins and jewelry were found in their pockets.
Both suspects were booked into the Spokane County Jail for 1st Degree Burglary.
