SPOKANE VALLEY, WAsh. -- Water in an area of Spokane Valley has been declared safe to drink.
A well malfunction pumped dirty water through Trentwood early this week, which even prompted school closures in the area.
Trentwood Irrigation took water samples to the lab to be tested.
Results show dirt was the only substance in the water. Trentwood Irrigation says that while unpleasant, the dirt is not harmful to drink.
The district adds there was never a risk to public health.
