SPOKANE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT -- Air travelers are trying to dodge nation wide airport delays caused by winter storms across much of the country Tuesday.

From Dallas to New York, the weather is leaving passengers and planes stuck. Luckily, passengers at Spokane International Airport are not experiencing as many delays. But many passengers elsewhere are crossing their fingers they won’t encounter severe winter weather.

KREM 2 News ran into John Heltman and his wife at Spokane International Airport. They are trying to get back to Dayton, Ohio, but first they have to go through Minneapolis-Saint Paul.

Then there are the Wiebe’s who are trying to get to sunny Orlando but they have to go through frigid Denver.

International travelers have their eyes on the East Coast freeze as well. Carlos Calderon is on his way to Malta. Yesterday he decided to change his flight after he found about the storm hitting New York. He’ll fly to London instead of through JFK.
