SPOKANE, Wash. -- A man walking along Spokane train tracks was hit by a Union Pacific train.
It happened just before 5 a.m. near Sprague and Scott.
Police say the train conductor flashed the lights and blew the whistle when he spotted the man, who allegedly refused to get off the tracks.
He was taken to a hospital for extensive, but non-life-threatening injuries.
Police say the man was intoxicated.
